How do I get a job in the computer networking/telecom industry and work overseas?
Network Engineer looking for overseas work. Love to travel but also love my job and want to combine both. Any advice would help. Thanks
Get a job with a vendor, a startup might be your best bet to get overseas, at least thats what got me overseas for several years.
Fast growth startups with newer technology will often post folks from headquarters to different regions of the world to facilitate the technology knowledge transfer.
Is it OK to apply for a job that you may not be qualified for?
A job has opened up at our local NPR radio affiliate station for an assistant news director. Because it’s a small college station, they also work closely with the public broadcasting TV station. The job has a lot of responsibility and I’m just not sure I’m qualified. I have been a volunteer in the news department at a public radio station for about two years and I am a telecom major…I just don’t know if I am qualified to be an "Assistant News Director." What should I do?
Go for the job! Only the employer know’s eactly what they are looking for. Even if you don’t get the job they can advise you on what qualifications you would need for next time a job like this comes up.
How to sell telecom services if you are working in a network provider company?
Acquire a license of affiliation/franchise from the company .
Why does Bharti Airtel think that they can make a 600M++ purchase for 100M?
http://beta.globaltelecomsbusiness.com/Article/2311366/Bharti-Airtel-poised-to-acquire-Millicom-assets-in-Sri-Lanka.html
The answer remains no.Bhairtel was supposed to have invested 150M into telecom infrastructure and has not done so. The figure is based on less valuable non-consolidated line sales from other regional vendors.
Bharti Airtel must stick to its commitment.
Which is a better telecom provider in the Philippines?
Smart Telecommunications?
Globe Telecommunications?
Sun Cellular?
Digitel?
I agree with meandering soul… Globe is the best and Black Hat, are you MiGz A?
If you ask any questions without Yahoo! Answers, Mail me !
And Black Hat/MiGz A here is Well’s gonna say:
From: Well
Subject: Re: Hello
Message: hello,
i’m sorry but i do not keep contacts. it’s nothing personal.
to answer your question, no. I do not have "$2.8M" of my money to give anyone.
The 2.8M is the approximate amount that the organization I work for spends annually in programs in the Philippines to benefit the disadvantaged.
People in the Philippines travel section– namely Migs/Black Hat, Chuck, Bini, Lush, Inday and a few others–have been twisting the truth about me and this money because somehow they perceive me as a threat and want to discredit me at every opportunity. It’s all very twisted, really, and quite nonsensical of them.
Just take everything with a grain of salt.
Cheers.
Smart and Globe.. (It’s a tie for me since I’m using both in the Philippines). <*-*>
Why is the Spice Telecom the worst Service provider in Karnatak, India?

Because Spice Telecom is a private company
How to file a complaint against a telecom company?
I want to file a complaint against a telecom company regarding their incorrect call charges. I have made lot more calls and complaints in their customer care and i didn’t get any response from their end. Finally I fed up and my amount has been deducted. So i want to file a complaint against them
You can take 2 routes:
1. You can find out the nodal officer’s name and email on teh telecom operators website and write to him/her. He/She has to revert to your complaint with resolution within 7 days as per TRAI regulations.
2. If this does not work, then you can file your complaint with the local consumer complaint cell on a plain piece of paper.
All the best and don’t leave heart.
who are telecom service providers?
Here is a little about them and a list of them….and it is a ton of them!
An Telecom Service Provider (abbr TSP) is a business or organization that offers users access to the Telephone and related services. In the past, most TSP’s were run by the government in most countries, due to the nature of capital expenditure involved in it. But today there are many private players in most regions of the world, and even most of the government owned companies have been privatized.
The Privatization of Telecom Service providers first happened in the USA.
