I am not sure if purchasing it in the us locks me with a us telecom service provider, which makes it useless in the philippines. if so, how do i unlock it?

You should be able to purchase it outright, without a provider, then choose a provider in your home country, as long as the SIM card is compatible.

However, your main concern would be how to charge it. The charging unit would be for US use, and to US specs, and may not be compatible with the Phillippines.

but now i feels that there will be downtime for telecom industry though most of have misconcept about it, but i am planning to migrate to Software field, though i dont have any knoweldge about this field. but i have done B.E. in Electronics & Communications.
so , what would be your opinion about this.
and if i want to move to software field than which course should i choose like Java, .Net, Iphone developer etc…
