Nel periodo 2008/2012 tra tagli effettuati e tagli futuri sono previsti altri 13.000 licenziamenti. Lorganico di Telecom Italia al 31.12.2009 era di 54.236 dipendenti, nel 1999 quando fu ceduta a debito da Massimo DAlema ai capitani coraggiosi Gnutti e Colaninno e Consorte aveva quasi il doppio di dipendenti.
