@ Tonalc2. I see that is a copy paste from the huffington. Have the liberals determined just why MSNBC style of lying news channels are not in Canada? Or Huffington post style of news channels? Or are liberals so narrow minded and hypocritical to think their **** doesn’t stink?

Currently the service providers heavily charge the customers at both ends (air time charge for the incoming calls too) on roaming! Many people use a different sim when they move out of the city for long travel, just to escape this loot of the Service providers. Still there are many ways they fleece the customers! Lot more regulations are due but the Minister just wanted to give some spectacular relief and this is likely to be welcomed by cell phone users.

Their companies are staffed by workers whose educations were subsidized by Government, their costly businesses and homes are protected by police and military who are paid by Government, their personal safety on the streets is dramatically increased by Government programs which keep the poor from becoming violent out of desperation and hunger, they are able to exchange their goods and services over roads, train-lines and telecom infrastructure which were built/subsidized by Government and, most importantly, their wealth provides them increased access to Government officials which simply is not available to the average citizen.

Seriously, what more do you want and how much less do you want to pay for it?

Don’t be naive. The Government gave the telecoms a buttload of money to expand their infrastructure and sold them large chunks of the wireless spectrum for pennies on the dollar.

Lowest I have seen was about $400-500. If you get a contract for two years it will be much lower.
