  5. sinesurfer Says:

    They *didn’t* hack …
    They *didn’t* hack Telecom.

They surreptitious data to a *foreign* telco how routed the fake calling number back to NZ so they hack a *foreign* telco and *not* Telecom.

You just need to find one single telco that lets this happen (and I mean the *foreign* telco) and any other Teleco that access calls for the first company is vulnerable.

A few years ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids’ room, the father said,”Take the kids and get out of the house. We’ll call the police, we don’t have a clown statue.” The “clown statue” is really a killer that escaped from jail. If you don’t post this letter on to 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand

actually we pronounce it “fish n chips” just like “drum n bass” lol.

*skaff40 – we are NOT a third world country, and we are also NOT a nation made up of peasant convicts shipped on a boat from europe.

*gadget666 – too right! welcome to wellywood.

  11. meluffu Says:

    LOL I found that …
LOL I found that out myself when I changed from my hyundai tx to sanyo 9000, im wondering why they stopped supporting that model, as for the past year+ all the games are free, and you can use the net at 512k (good for gmail and stuff) for free, but only if you disable images. Its also easy to change from an overdue month account back to prepay without a hitch by simply saying you brought it from an online auction – unless of course it was stolen, which then is blacklisted. LOL for call centers.

blog? what blog? I would be interested in reading it. I worked it out when I last changed my cellphone number onto my new harrier and didn’t change the settings on the old nokia as pictured. I do agree with you that they shouldn’t have used stock footage showing a vodafone branded cellphone.

  15. paradoxsm Says:

This is crap, The stickwad napier guy just stole this from my Blog and went media crazy…. it’s not even what it seems… groan. and typical TV, of course they show a vodafone ericsson mobile picking up a CDMA smsm off the network.

  16. profrink Says:

    I also found this …
I also found this out on accedent a few months ago while getting my old number changed to my new phone. The new phone started working with my old number and I never went back to Telecom to get my old one properly disconnected (simply couldn’t be bothered). I got home and started sending some SMS messages and bingo! Txts where arriving at both phones, couldn’t send off my old one but would recieve everything my new one was.

    And kariles, if you …
And kariles, if you want to know what the Australian accent sounds like, well its sort of a cross between a dying cat and an American accent. You know that high pitched whining sound. Well as we all know Australians are American wannabes, only natural they would want to imitate their accent.

  23. worldeleven2003 Says:

    Telecom is still …
Telecom is still using CDMA network, eventhough other companies like Nokia have abandoned it. Telecom is a NZ monopoly that is holding back NZ development.

  24. worldeleven2003 Says:

    NZ accent is not …
NZ accent is not hot, but better than Steve Irwins accent

  25. worldeleven2003 Says:

    No, Vodafone uses …
No, Vodafone uses GSM network, Telecom uses the dying CDMA network.
