I make frequent calls from Spain to UK, Australia and USA. I need a reliable, low-cost telecoms provider that will utilise my Telefonica line.

ok, then why don’t you get the MagicJack….so you can call for free the US with an US area-code….!!

   Generally, I have good results with Skype. Only on rare occasion do I have quality problems with it. Often problems with Skype are NAT-Router and Firewall port related issues.

   But, as an alternative I also have good results using:
   Gizmo5
   Efonica

   Or, I use a configurable soft-phone with BYOD VoIP services such as InPhonex and CallCentric. (see my profile for links).
   I prefer the WengoPhone from OpenWengo (free open-source soft-phone) over the popular X-Lite soft-phone.
